Ramp Service Agents - LAX

Eligible candidates must successfully complete the following pre employment screens:
  • Pre-Employment Assessment Test (study guide provided)

  • FBI Background Check – 10 Years
    •      Pre employment Drug Screen

  • Five Year Employment History

  • Driver License Validation Check

    All Candidates:

  • To work any shift, including nights, weekends and holidays.

  • RESPONSIBILITIES: The Ramp Service Agent is responsible for loading, unloading, and transport mail, luggage, and freight safely and efficiently. 
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Load, unload and transport luggage and freight.

  • Drive and operate ground equipment including tugs, beltloaders and push tractors.

  • Marshall aircraft to and from gates.

  • Communicate pertinent information to Operations, Flight Crews and other Ramp personnel

  • Perform Air-start and ground power unit functions when necessary

  • Lavatory servicing

  • Potable water servicing

  • Foreign Object Debris damage control

  • Deliver connecting luggage to other Frontier aircraft

  • Baggage delivery functions

  • Other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid drivers license required.

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Customs Seal

  • Previous experience as a Ramp Agent preferred.

  • Effective communication skills including the ability to read and follow directions

  • People oriented, highly motivated with a positive and cooperative attitude

  • Ability to perform in a fast paced environment while maintaining a professional and effective approach to high-stress situations

  • Available to work varied hours

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

  • Ability to communicate verbally, as well as, read and write

  • Familiarity with the working environment of an airport operation to include:
    a. City codes
    b. Ground Equipment
    c. Irregular operations

  • Familiarity with hub airport operations.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a stressful environment.

  • Ability to communicate in a positive and effective manner with subordinates, peers, and all other department personnel.

  • Work schedules can include weekends, holidays, and evenings.
    Physical Effort –

  • Position requires extremely strenuous physical work involving objects in excess of 100 pounds occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds frequently
