* Train, supervise, and manage the Aviation Engineering department.
* Plan, engineer, design and create new STCs for aircraft modification and installation.
* Modify existing STCs, aircraft drawings, and flight manual supplements.
* Create a network filing system for all engineering data and a company wide standard for Avionics wiring diagrams and wire marking.
* Provide technical installation support to the technical sales staff, Avionics Departments and the Director of Avionics Business Development.
* Ensure all FAA paperwork relating to avionics engineering projects has been completed properly.
* Maintain a schedule for ongoing project deadlines.
* Present project status updates and recommendations for future STC development to Executive Management.
* Coordinate structural modification projects for all locations.
* Schedule FAA conformity and flight test inspectors.
* Assist in preparation of Avionics installation proposals and provide budget estimates for future STC projects.
* Base compensation is $75,000 to $100,000, depending on experience
* Candidates requiring slightly more compensation also encouraged to apply as there may be some flexibility

requirements:
The Engineering Manager will meet the following criteria:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering plus 3 years experience obtaining STCs for avionics installations (Electrical or Structural or Avionics DER preferred, not required)
* Ability to create, read and understand blue prints and wiring diagrams
* Understanding of FAA requirements and regulations regarding aircraft modifications
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to design an aircraft modification and follow it through certification and delivery
* Ability to train employees and delegate effectively
* Requires occasional travel
